The Tube Zipper is a tube-powered envelope follower and distortion, which together can produce wild overtones on extreme settings. Featuring two 12AX7EH vacuum tubes, the Zipper allows for plenty of tweaking with six control knobs - input gain, drive, sensitivity, frequency (to set the start/stop and peak filter frequencies), resonance (controls the Q of the filter, which can be driven into-self oscillation) and master volume. A pair of switches also allow you to have the filter sweep up or down, and change the sweep mode between a smooth envelope follower or adding modulation to the envelope for a trill-like effect. Unzip your soul! Just picture your guitar signal being massaged by a complex set of filters moving through a vacuum tube maze. The Tube Zipper's patented moving filter gang tastefully adds controlled analog harmonics to your signal. In typical EH fashion, each control can be set over the edge, generating a host of novel tones.
