Repairs

NJAMS can handle many of your musical repair needs through our own in house guitar and electronic repairs to facilitating your more specialized needs out of house. We are currently using the skills of Paul Iverson for our guitar repairs as well as Backline (solid state) and Kirk Elliot (tube) for our amplifier repairs. We will shuttle your pieces to and from their workshops in a timely fashion where they will receive the expertise of many years of experience.

Most importantly we have a very knowledgeable staff that can advise you on repair and maintenance options for your instruments and accessories and what the cost of doing so might be. In our experience many inadequacies you may feel your instrument has or you have as a player are due to poor setup or issues that involve minor repair. It will cost you nothing for us to have a look and make these assessments. So if you feel your guitar or amp are not performing to their utmost ability please feel free to bring them in for some advice.

PAUL IVERSON'S REPAIRS
The legendary Paul Iverson is a man many have heard of but few have seen. Paul is our resident luthier / repairman at Not Just Another Music Shop. In 1967 his first attempt to build his own guitar, (a tele) proved successful enough to do it again and again. A native of Victoria, B.C., Paul moved to Vancouver in the late 70's and focused on developing his natural abilities, hanging out with Jean Larivee (Larivee Guitars) and Atilla Balogh (Odyssey Guitars), learning what he could from them. Now 35 years later, Paul has worked on and built guitars for such people as Sarah McLachlan, Brad Whitford (Aerosmith), Chad Kroeger (Nickleback) and Jimmy Page. Paul has also been maintaining the impressive Bruce Fairbairn guitar collection from the Armoury Studios in Vancouver. His lengthy bass-playing resume includes tours with Strange Advance and Bryan Adams.
